wow.
reading through all your "phattyprops", leaves me speechless. I finally got the postcard notifying me about it last monday and have been blown away since by all your words, stories, and praises. I don't deserve any of them! I wouldn't be the person I am without knowing and learning from the dope people that is YOU!
It's taken me this long to try to formulate a proper thank you because, like steph knows, I'm not good at handling praise. Reading through the blog, I experience a little bit of embarrassment, along with the joy & sadness: "Why did all you guys waste time out of your day to write something about me, you know you got something better to do!"
If it had been a phattyroast, I woulda had hella responsive word for yall. I'm so used to being on the defensive, growing up in Houston with rich white folks AND rich Asian folks...always ready to come back at the next insult or racist shit folks come up with...
Anyway, I want to give special recognition to Steph and Paloma, who orchestrated this. I KNEW something was up when Paloma kept asking to see my address book, and Steph wanted to be e-vited to the bonfire. "E-vited?! WHY? You already know about it!" Sorry Paloma for refusing to send you the contacts at first!
So, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. There is a home and an EXTREMELY comfortable corner couch for yall if ever you come to LA (see my blog: www.djphatrick.com)
